Artist's Biography
Jesse Link is a self taught artist living and creating in Seattle Washington. As a child Jesse showed considerable talent in the arts. He would occasionally make his local news papers for winning various contests and awards but it wasn’t until he was serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom that he began to take painting seriously. During the war, in 2004-05 painting became a way for Jesse to escape the war and direct his focus onto things that were joyful and light. He says that painting kept him sane in a world of lunatics and made life in Iraq bearable and sometimes even pleasant. After the war Jesse moved to devastated New Orleans that had just been hit by hurricane Katrina. During the day he would help with the rebuilding effort and in his free time he would paint. He began showing his work in Coffee shops and in boutiques in the French Quarter. In 2007 Jesse moved to Seattle and has since been playing an active role in the Seattle arts scene. He has monthly shows throughout the Seattle area, donates art for local charities to auction off at benefits, and he has acquired a following which has been steadily growing over the years.
